As the organizer had claim, this is the first ever trail night run event ever held in Malaysia. The post christmas event was held on 28th December, flagged off around 8.30 pm. Total participants of 1200 instead of 1000 as allocated during the initial period of the registration phase.
The 10 km trail run was held at Putrajaya Challenge Park and I actually arrived just on time after performing my Maghrib prayer at Masjid Besi, Putrajaya, approximately about 10 min drive. This was actually my first trail night run and trail running at night needs more body/sight coordination on my side. I fell down twice due to slippery surfaces and luckily did not sustain any injury though there was some slight pain on my right hand felt after completing the race.
Overall, the race coordination was a success, at least, to me though there are some room for improvement i.e. long queue at the check points, vague signages, some open drains and sumps which is really hazardous!
The event really made me more attracted and interested towards the trail running culture. Looking forward to more of these type of events!
